Join the ALVA astronomy club

Alva is a not-for-profit student organisation based at Lund Observatory, Lund University.  We arrange activities such as popular astronomy talks, observations of celestial objects with the Lund Observatory telescopes, trips to the Lund University Planetarium and other space-related activities.  

ALVA exists for the sole purpose of sharing the love of science, space and astronomy. 

ALVA is a recognized member of the Academic Society (AF), which means that we have two membership classes: member and public.  The membership class "member" requires you to also be a member of AF and this gives you voting rights in the board meetings, while "public" membership is for non-students interested in our public events. 

By joining ALVA you will merely be registered on our mailing list in order to receive any updates from the club and information on future events.  To register, please fill in you information below.  

You are also welcome to show up at any of our public events unannounced or bring a friend along - unless the event specifically calls for registration beforehand. The events are typically held at Astronomihuset, Sölvegatan 27, Lund.
