Development of Infrared Spectroscopy with the help of laboratory measurements

Projects:

  • Near-IR Atomic and Molecular Spectroscopy in the Laboratory

With the new Fourier Transform Spectrometer installed at Lund Observatory, we are involved in measuring wavelengths and line strengths of transitions in astrophysically interesting elements, such as Sr, Y, and Ba.

  • IR spectroscopy at high spectral resolution for the E-ELT

I am enaged by ESO to investigate the scientific case for the planning of IR specrtrometers for the E-ELT.
