Abstracts
Participants are now welcome to submit abstracts for oral and poster papers.
The subject of the papers should be of interest to all participants and
confine itself to the main themes of the conference. All abstracts
will be reviewed by members of the SOC for appropriateness prior to being
accepted. For example, abstracts will not be accepted for papers that will
present chemical analysis of stellar photospheres without a discussion of
the appropriateness of atomic data.
There will be opportunitiy for the SOC to fill out the oral program from
abstracts submitted for poster papers. Please indicate on the registration
form whether you would be willing to change your contribution from a poster
paper to an oral paper.
The abstracts will be collected for publication in an abstract book to be
distributed to the participants and to be made available on this website
prior to the conference.
Abstracts to be considered as oral presentations
should be submitted by June 15. Abstracts to be included in the abstract book need to be submitted before July 15.
Posters
The poster boards are 90 cm wide and about 180 cm high.
Proceedings
Detailed instructions for the proceedings can be found here.
Oral contributions will be published as a volume of Physica Scripta (T series).
Instructions will be made available to the authors at a future date. The papers
will be refereed by the editors and ASOS9 SOC.
Poster papers will be published in the open access Journal of Physics: Conference
Series (JPCS), which is published by the Institute of Physics Publishing in the UK.
All papers published in JPCS are fully citable and upon publication will be free
to download.
Each participant will be entitled to publish either an oral or poster paper
as part of their registration fee. For the publication of an additional poster
paper, the first author will be charged a fee set by the publisher. The first
