Past Events 2012:   8 May - Visit to Vattenhallen Science Center The visit to Vattenhallen was great fun, and we would like to thank the staff at Vattenhallen for letting us come visit for free! Who knew that a bunch of science students of various levels could have so much fun with a water-power experiment?   16 April - Meet a PhD student How is the life as a PhD student? We invited a handful of PhD students from the department of astronomy and theoretical physics to speak about their experiences as PhD students. The event was a success, with a very good discussion with many interesting questions about the life as a PhD studdent. We would like to thank the following PhD students who shared their experiences with us: Daniel Adén, Chiara Battistini, Berry Holl, Michiel Lambrechts and Daniel Michalik   10-12 April - Three days of Astronomy Our experiment with a lecture series over several days was a success and the concept will assuredly return in the future! Unfortunately the weather did not permit any solar observations, but we got interesting lectures, great discussions and a lot of coffee and cake.
